PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS

ManWomanThe Thalamus body type is characterized by a high, wide and/or dominant forehead with small eyes, and a long, slender oval face or a long-to-average rectangular face. They are generally tall with a slender appearance, have a continuous arching abdominal musculature with a lower abdominal protrusion, and may have difficulty gaining or maintaining weight. Their buttocks are relatively flat-to-rounded with a low back curvature that's average-to-swayed. Female Thalamuses have an average-to-long waist and their initial weight gain is in their lower abdomen, face and the entire upper 2/3rds of their thighs. Their body may be a full size smaller above their waist than below. Male Thalamuses have an average-to-thick torso and average musculature. Male Thalamuses also have a moderate ability to attain muscle definition in their torso with a basic workout program. Both males and females are affected by weather changes like high humidity or alterations in atmospheric pressure.

The Thalamus type excels at collecting and evaluating information. Characterized by their sensitivity and awareness of their physical and emotional surroundings, they listen intently and store the information for future access. Their natural intellectual curiosity helps them learn new subjects easily and understand how things work and why. Thalamuses are open and receptive to change, freely taking in new information without judging or censoring it. Extremely sensitive to vibrations and music, Thalamuses have very acute hearing. Music provides a direct link to their emotions, and they need music to reconnect, let go of stress, shift into a creative mode and get motivated.

"AT BEST"

"AT WORST"

  • Incredibly organized and a stickler for details, Thalamuses strive for excellence and excel with technical work.
  • Gentle, giving, loyal and nurturing, Thalumuses will place a higher priority on people than on tasks.
  • At their best, Thalamuses are self-reliant and personally responsible, taking excellent care of themselves. Being open-minded and adaptable, they can successfully challenge their own behavior and beliefs, changing what no longer suits them.

  • Super-critical of themselves and extreme perfectionists, Thalamus types struggle with low self-esteem. This leads to procrastination, letting life or others control the outcome.
  • The Thalamus type tends to disconnect with their body, emotions and inner knowledge by ignoring pain, pushing their body and ignoring warning signs. Or, they may escape by immersing themselves in a fantasy, going over every possible scenario.
  • Constantly seeking reassurance and support, the Thalamus type can become demanding and draining to those around them.
