It took me a while to figure out what type I actually was (my messages above bear this out! :) I went back to the basics and began reading the entire book with an open mind. What are my natural tendencies as opposed to my learned ones? And I've never been a normal weight so I didn't really know where I gained weight first. Too, at 280 pounds starting weight my body has sort of a "rumpled" appearance from all the fat. Well, I kept on reading and went through several different types that I thought might be the real me. The Pancreas type kept popping up. The weight gain pattern was similar, but I have thick, thick hair as opposed to the fine/thin hair listed. Too, only a small part of the psychological profile fit. Back to square one. I went through the book and eliminated the physical "not me" shapes (mainly those with thin thighs and small butts) and that helped. I then began reading and re-reading the psychological profiles of those left on my list and eliminated the obvious misfits. Finally, I looked at the food lists and eliminated those types whose food groups I knew didn't agree with me. That left me with two choices: the Pancreas or the Skin. Pancreas types can be needy and insecure; so can I. But I like to cook and don't care to be the life of the party, so that told me that the Pancreas didn't fit, either. I reread the Skin carefully and it was right on the money. Good luck to you in your search. Once you figure out what type you are, it all makes so much sense!! Blessings, Claire
